How to Play Oasis Poker

Oasis Poker is a Caribbean Stud variant with one addition: before deciding to call or fold, you can swap one or more cards for a fee. This card exchange option can improve marginal hands and reduce the house edge compared to standard Caribbean Stud.

How to Play

  1. Place an Ante bet.
  2. You receive five cards face up. The dealer shows one card.
  3. Optionally swap 1 to 5 cards by paying a fee equal to the Ante per card swapped.
  4. Choose Call (2x Ante) or Fold.
  5. The dealer qualifies with Ace-King or better. Same payout structure as Caribbean Stud.

Card Exchange

  • Swapping costs 1x Ante per card. Swapping all five cards costs 5x Ante.
  • With optimal swap strategy, the house edge drops below Caribbean Stud's 5.2% to around 4.8%.

5+1 Bonus Side Bet

  • Same as Caribbean Stud. Evaluates best 5-card hand from your 5 original dealt cards + dealer's up-card.
  • Evaluated on your original hand before any card exchange. Swapping has no effect on the side bet.
  • Royal Flush 1000:1, Straight Flush 200:1, Four of a Kind 100:1, Full House 20:1, Flush 15:1, Straight 10:1, Three of a Kind 7:1.

Millionaire Mode

An optional side bet. Qualifying hands pay from the Millionaire prize pool, up to $1,000,000.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the main difference between Oasis Poker and standard Caribbean Stud?

Oasis Poker allows you to swap one or more cards for a fee equal to your Ante per card swapped before you decide to call or fold. This card exchange option gives you the ability to improve weak hands and reduces the house edge compared to the standard version.

How much does it cost to swap cards in Oasis Poker?

Each card swap costs a fee equal to your original Ante amount. You can swap between 1 and 5 cards total, so swapping three cards would cost three times your Ante.

What is the call bet in Oasis Poker?

The call bet equals twice your Ante amount. You place this bet after the swap phase if you choose to continue playing your hand against the dealer.

When can I swap my cards in Oasis Poker?

You can swap cards after you receive your five face-up cards and see the dealer's one exposed card, but only before you decide to call or fold.

Can I swap one card or must I swap multiple cards?

You can swap anywhere from one card up to all five cards in a single hand. You have complete control over how many cards to exchange based on your hand strength.
